EHS Project Manager Role Summary/Purpose: The EHS Project Advisor for the EPC GE Oil and Gas projects based at Aztec West Initially (2 months), then Singapore will demonstrate leadership in communicating EHS business goals, programs, and processes for our EPC Projects. In this role, you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute EHS objectives for yourself and contribute to the whole EPC EHS team, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals. Essential Responsibilities: Provide oversight and mentoring for personnel within the EPC EHS business In conjunction with the Line manager (EPC EHS Manager) Develop strategic plans and goals for the EPC EHS business unit Assist in the development of a world class EHS program for EPC projects to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and protect the environment from adverse effects Work with the business operational managers to ensure that all operational activities are clearly identified and risk assessed to ensure safe working procedures are developed and any safety hazards identified within the projects are appropriately controlled. Ensure the development and implementation of Environment, Health and Safety plans for EPC Projects to ensure fulfilment of contractual obligations and consistency Customer focus, strong commitment to the operationalization of EHS activity, whilst dealing with clients and client’s senior management on a daily basis. Ensure the EHS program is delivered to customer fulfilment and employee engagement, improve EHS performance and ensure employees understand the full EHS contractual obligations and risks in order to drive an accident prevention culture Promote EHS performance to customers and other interested 3rd parties Drive EHS performance metrics, identify areas for improvement across the projects Participate in the investigation of all accidents, incidents and near-misses Ensure effective working relationships with operations staff and other EHS staff to leverage best practices, and outreach to government agencies Ensure that lessons learned are communicated throughout the business and incorporated into EHS risk matrix Assist the EPC EHS Manager with the implementation of effective Medical Services and Security programs, and act as deputy when requested. Conduct and/or participate in EHS audits as required Maintain and/or pursue external EHS recognition, such as GE Global Star Awards, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certification Qualifications/Requirements Degree qualified in science or engineering discipline (or equivalent).
