New kid gets his first meal. Mice are pre-killed and we get them frozen from our supplier. Cant get around the fact that some animals are carnivores. Right now our new snake is only about 12 long; we hope with regular feedings he will grow quickly to his full size of 3-4 ft. long (saying he as we havent had the snake checked yet :)) Snakes are always fed in a container other than their home; this way they dont associate a hand in their enclosure with being fed and they dont get snappy with people. Also, it prevents them from accidentally ingesting any of the substrate we use in their homes.
