Ro Teimumu was responding to comments by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama following her maiden speech at her appointment last week. She had questioned why Commodore Bainimarama was suddenly panicking. The people of Rewa and I are sending our best loloma (regards) to the prime minister, she said. Why is he panicking? He has had a good time all these years. Why is he now pushing the panic button? Ro Teimumu said if her comments were utter nonsense, as Commodore Bainimarama labelled them, he should have relaxed and not bothered about the issues she raised in their gathering last Friday. We are looking forward to all the different areas that were outlined in the gathering, some of them we had in the past and we saw that it was good, she said. We only bring in issues that are good for the people and that is the platform that the majority of voters chose for themselves in terms of which party they want to lead them — that was in 2001 and 2006. fijitimes/story.aspx?id=262353
