New member here, I was last in Darmstadt in January of 2010 when I was in Europe for a visit up in Belgium and I took the train down. My Dad was Air Force Security Service and we lived in Lincoln Village. I went to grades 1-4 and then grade 9 at the school. We had a blast in the woods, the carnivals every year were a hoot, trick or treating for Halloween was the best in the world! And of course going up post to Cambrai Fritsch was something I have done probably thousands of times. We lived in 415 and 436 and when I was there in 2010 I saw 436 but could not go in, it was all fenced off. There was a lot of snow on the ground and I asked the caretakers kids if I could go in and take a look around (in German which I wound up learning very well in school there and in college much later) but they told me Man macht das nicht mehr, or Thats not done anymore. Too bad, I wanted to see the AYA and the school. So many precious memories, if anyone remembers me, drop me a line. If I owe you money, good luck!
