New rail investment program Germany is on strike! Yesterday trains, today planes. Additionally, Germany is accused for not investing enough in infrastructure, economy is slowing down, too. We all know how media works: Bad news are good news. But all people, interested in a balanced picture about Germany as business partner should know: There is not everything bad in Germany. Not even when it’s about trains and infrastructure. Just yesterday, German government announced increasing investments in rail lines by more than 1 billion euros. From 2015, annually spendings are now at 4 billion euros. There are also „good“ news for customers, mourning about the next price increase: For the future, all profits of Deutsche Bahn are directly flowing back in investments for the rail network. All measures are intended to increase the speed and punctuality of trains furthermore.
