New research from the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford and The Parent Zone suggests that teens should self-regulate their own use of the Internet, and that supportive parenting has a stronger impact on improving teen digital behavior than monitoring. Dr. Andrew Przbylski of the Oxford Internet Institute said, Our findings indicate that good parenting, which allows children to still take risks and develop coping strategies, is integral to whether young people are able to make the most of the opportunities of the online world.
