New study finds that an increase in skilled immigrant workers leads to a companys overall growth. I think it’s a case of complementary work. You bring additional immigration into a high-tech firm, and that allows it to expand its rate of innovation and the number of products it creates, and that creates jobs for everyone from new marketing people to new HR staff to new finance jobs and legal counsel. It creates a demand for other jobs in the firm that are also growing with the innovation and progress that the firm is making.
