New topic the Kingdom Council has officially ordered the Governor of St. Maarten to conduct an Integrity Investigation. This was made known to Governor Holiday when PM Ruitte visited the island earlier in the year. At the time PM Wescot Williams mentioned it also and she said back then St. Maarten will cooperate and will even include Transparency International to conduct an independent investigation. This weekend we received a press release from the Prime Minister who traveled to Holland to inform the Kingdom Council that St. Maarten is protesting this measure. For me this is heavier than a vote of no confidence... However, that is my opinion on this matter. Our Minister of Justice said St. Maarten will not cooperate with the investigation. Now that is what I read in one of the paper... I still have to speak with our Minister of Justice to get his full take on this matter and I am sure the PM will inform the people of St. Maarten on Wednesday. Now its your turn (my friends turn) to give their take on the measures taken by the Kingdom.
