New, year toasted with Champagne, supplied by the lovely Jennifer. This year it was a quiet and yet very special celebration. Greg and I had our nine year old granddaughter Hannah all to ourselves. We all put on beads and crowns and OSU sunglasses..and toasted and kissed at midnight...and then settled into the huge bed in the man cave...and traded wishes instead of resolutions..and we talked about art...because Miss Hannah is an artistic soul. We ended the hour by digging through my Van Gogh prints and her comparing his work with her latest offering she gifted me with tonight. A 5x7 of the ocean on canvas..her first real canvas painting. I cannot think of a more perfect way to end the year and begin again...than passing the love of art from one generation to another.
