New zero-day vulnerability discovered in Internet Explorer - TopicsExpress

New zero-day vulnerability discovered in Internet Explorer versions 6 - 11. This is the first exploit that will affect Windows XP that will not be patched. The exploit is used in drive-by attacks. Thats when a user visits a malicious website and then it takes advantage of the vulnerability in Internet Explorer. Most good anti-virus programs should block the attack but the easiest way to avoid the problem is to NOT use Internet Explorer for now. Use Chrome or Firefox for web-browsing. If you do use IE, be extremely careful of links in email and visiting unknown websites. Microsoft is working on a fix and Ill let you know when the update is available.
