Newbie Alternator question...as the last part of the focus I finally got a 170Amp highoutput alt to replace my fried diode 110amp 14 year old alt... and now at idle Im charging at 12.4v but the second I rev it even a little the voltage jumps to about 14.4-14.8v like it should be. Im told by reducing the pulley size itll spin the alt faster and cause it to always put out higher power at lower rpm but some others said Ill fry the alt within a few months on a daily vehicle. Seeking help / advice as this is my first aftermarket alt install. Thanks
