Newbie Question: Ive found a great, dog friendly place that I really want to take my dogs to for our first ever hike. They have several trails from beginner to uber-experienced. The first trail is less than a mile and takes approximately 20 mins to walk; the second is a mile and a half and takes anywhere from 40 mins to an hour. My question is this, which trail should I take for the dogs first time? They are an 8.5 year old APBT and an 8 month old APBT. Both are fairly athletic dogs, go for daily walks around the neighborhood with multiple short spans of off leash running/jumping (before I moved to an apt 3 weeks ago they had full run of over an acre every day). I personally feel like the 20 min walk would be a piece of cake, but I dont want to push too hard, too soon. What would you experienced hikers do?
