Newbie from central Louisiana. My hubby found this little hummer - TopicsExpress

Newbie from central Louisiana. My hubby found this little hummer on our cold (63 degrees) patio this morning about 8 am. She was squatting on the cement and unable to fly more than 2-3 off the ground. We brought her inside to rest and warm up. She readily took several drops of sugar water from my fingertip then hunkered down in a nest in a styrofoam cup lined with a shredded Kleenex and napped about an hour. She seemed to perk up afterward, but still could not fly. As you can see in the pic her bill seems twisted and does not close all the way --- injury from fighting or hitting our window or screen?? What can we do for her?? Any rehabbers near us??? HELP! I successfully got two greased and injured ones back to health a couple of yrs ago with mush of mealworms strained into sugar water and 1drop of parakeet vitamins per 2 cups sugar water! They loved it! I could try with this one, but worry about her/his (has 1red circle on its neck) beak.
