Newer Video Game News... Reaction by Alana Last week, Shigeru Miyamoto explained that he wants to leave casual style video games for the casual gamers and focus video games being targeted to the more hardcore Nintendo fans. As the article describes, this definitely brings music to my ears as a hardcore Video Gamer and Nintendo fan. With mobile devices already equipping casual gamers in their daily lives with their gaming apps, there is no reason why any game industry should focus on something only passive gamers like, as mobile game apps already take care of that on a day to day basis. This is what Miyamoto has realised. As a Gamer for 20 years, I believe the hardcore gamers want more adventure, more open worlds and be able to play a game that has 30-60 hours of gameplay with a story and not something that plays for 5-10 mins then repeats. With that being said Nintendo have recently proven their loyalty towards Hardcore Gamers by focusing their resources on hardware and this hardcore gaming attitude that were seeing come out now through both Nintendo releases and 3rd party titles such as Xenoblade Chronicles X and The Devils Third.
