News: Dj Aluda to shake things up! Dj Aluda got the party started with hot African tunes that drew the hotshots onto the dance floor! The party this Friday was two hours long and two Dj’s were on the decks to make sure that the last Friday party in Biggie’s house was nothing short of epic! Dj Aluda hails from Uganda and his birth name is James A Mugume. Sir Aludah is a household name in East Africa and lists among Africa’s top Disk Jockeys. He started djing professionally after his Music Technology course at the Homeboyz Music Technology Academy in Nairobi (January 2010) where he studied and majored in Sound Engineering, Music Production and Djing. Dj Aludah returned to Kampala, Uganda, after his course and internship in Kenya and below are some of his career achievements. Dj Aludah won the 2010 Pilsner Spin master competition and is still the reigning champion to date. He has played at the most prominent Clubs, Bars and the coolest parties around Africa such as Maisha club in Tanzania, Carnival in Nairobi/Kenya, Club 101 in Zambia, The Manor Hotel in Rwanda, Eritrea’s 20year independence anniversary in Eritrea, Club Hush in Sandton, Johannesburg, Etc. In 2013, Dj Aludah was one of Africa’s few djs selected to feature on Africa’s biggest Dj Mix show, Basement Africa, that features on Africa’s biggest music channel, Channel O on DSTV. He featured on season 1 and 2 of the show. At the moment, Dj Aludah works with Ugandan’s most urban youths radio station, 97fm Radio City where he hosts a dancehall music mix show, BASELINE, that airs every Saturday 6-8pm and also features on Breakfast in the city with a Friday morning mix show called Beats Per minute (BPM); radiocity.ug. Dj Aludah has been nominated for some of the most prestigious awards in Uganda and Africa. In 2013, he was nominated for the African Global Dj Awards (AGDAS) in the category of Best East African DJ.
