News Flash and Personal Invitation “Unveiling Lumbee Tribe Historical Murals Exemplifying the Past, Present & Future” Visionary Designer Joan C. Blackwell & a joint community effort by many UNCP departments, including UNCP Art Students, UNCP Art Department, Lumbee Tribe, and members of Lumbee Tribe Boys and Girls Club. As a Lumbee, I am looking forward to unveiling this project which has taken five months to complete. The murals are titled “Lumbee Tribe Historical Murals Exemplifying the Past, Present & Future.” They are 4 ft tall by 3.5 inches width (each). Murals will be displayed April 2, 2014 at (Pembroke Undergraduate Research & Creativity Center (PURC) event on UNCP campus 9:a.m. A formal presentation ceremony at Lumbee Tribe Boys & Girls Club, April 2, 4:00 p.m. The murals will be on permanently display at the Lumbee Tribe Pembroke Boys and Girls Club.
