News Release EMED JAMAICA ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH TENET HEALTHCARE Kingston, Jamaica – November 27, 2013 Emed Global Jamaica Ltd. (EMED) today announce that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE : THC) The agreement also covers EMED group members for admittance into Tenet’s south Florida hospitals. The financial terms of the agreement were not released. EMED is a Jamaican-based company that facilitates access to affordable healthcare solutions. It provides air ambulance evacuation and healthcare services, healthcare technology solutions, employer/employee benefit plans, medical marketing and promotional activities, continuity of care, and case management services as part of the end -to -end solution that it provides. Tenet owns and operates 49 acute-care hospitals in 11 states and 90 outpatient centers in 12 states, with a majority of these hospitals in California, Florida and Texas. Headquartered in downtown Dallas, Tenet has more than 13,000 licensed beds and 57,000 employees. The company’s hospitals offer acute care, radiology and respiratory therapy services, as well as operating and recovery rooms, clinical laboratories and pharmacies. In addition, Tenet hospitals offer intensive care, critical care and coronary care units; physical therapy; orthopedic, oncology, outpatient, organ transplant and surgical services.
