News Release GFA Appoints two new Global Football Ambassadors Wednesday 30th August, 2014; ST. GEORGES: The Grenada Football Association (GFA) has approved the appointment of Jason Roberts and Dr. Calum MacPherson of St. Georges University (SGU) as its Global Football Ambassadors. Roberts and Macpherson joins Marlon Glean and Otis Roberts to bring the total to four Football Ambassadors. Dr. Macpherson is a Dean at SGU and currently heads the WINDREF unit at the islands lone University. Their roles as Global Ambassador will allow them to solicit support for the development of the new Executive Committee. President of the GFA, Cheney Joseph says he is delighted to have these two illustrious individuals being associated with Grenadas future development. What we have here is an opportunity to secure greater linkages with organizations that may wish to offer their support Joseph said. Joseph believes the GFA is now moving in the right direction and must embrace the chance to develop the game with support from professionals wanting to support the work already started. Among the areas the GFA is seeking support for; is the certification of its coaches as well as assistance with a national head coach.
