News Release – Colorado Titling – Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) For Immediate Release November, 12 2014 Colorado – As of July 1, 2014 Senate Bill 13-280 requires all off highway (all-terrain and snowmobile) vehicles be tilted. This includes Dirt Bikes, ATV’s, UTV’s and SxS. If you plan on trading in your current off road vehicle please have title in-hand. Think of it as trading/selling your car or truck. A title is required for transfer of ownership. How to obtain a title – If you have an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Trail Permit registration card, take that into the County Title Clerk with your driver’s license and they will request a title. The cost for this will be $7.20 per vehicle. If you have your Manufacture Statement of Origin (MSO), take that into the County Title Clerk with your driver’s license and they will request a title. The cost for this will be $7.20 per vehicle. If you wait too long the state may ask for a Bill of Sale and may want to collect taxes on that sale. At this time, they are not collecting taxes! This is very important that you act quickly. For additional information: Click the link below for more information; https://colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/titling-highway-vehicles-ohv
