News Update (July 6, 2014 18:51:58pm...) Ajimobi orders mass employment in LGs, primary, secondary schools WorldStage Newsonline-- Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi has ordered mass employment in all the 33 Local Governments and recruitments of new teachers for both primary and secondary schools across the state. The caretaker Chairman, Atiba Local Government, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi said at the All Progressive Congress [APC] leaders’ forum in Oyo town that Governor Ajimobi is genuinely committed towards the transformation of the state, especially well-being of the people and enduring infrastructural development. According to him, ‘’the state chief executive is irrevocably committed to grassroots democracy, which is all about dialogue and action. It is all about the people, their communities sharing the rewards and responsibilities of good government.’’ Adeniyi hinted that when he reminded the Governor at the last meeting with all the councils’ caretaker chairmen in Ibadan about the stoppage of work by contractors on the dualisation of Owode/Isokun and owode/Akesan roads in the ancient town, payment of full mobilization was ordered for timely completion of the roads. He also commended the governor for the re-construction of other township roads and bridges which had been put into use. The roads, according to the council chairman, include Union Bank/Odo-eran, Labamba hotel junction, Sawmill junction, Adikuta and Oke-Olola Aladota bridge. . Adeniyi further informed the gathering that the dualisation of the two roads would be completed on or before October in readiness for commissioning by the governor in October.
