News about the upcoming Moto X keeps on coming! A new leak by GSMinsider has revealed screenshots of Google’s latest smartphone offering going head to head with another Motorola Android device, the Motorola Milestone 3, which was launched in 2011. The leak has a few screenshots showing the phones being placed side-to-side, and also a shot of the two being propped up to show the difference in dimensions. While the photographer has purposely not taken any shots of the Motorola logo on the MotoX, the difference can clearly be made out because the Milestone 3 is a slider smartphone. From the comparisons, it looks like the Moto X wins out over the Milestone 3 in terms of thickness. Keeping in mind that the Milestone 3 is a slider phone, this is not much of a surprise. The now-familiar Moto X curved design on the back is clearly seen in the screenshots. That isn’t much, when compared to other smartphones. Google may roll out some killer optimisation for a smooth software-running experience, though. Apart from that, the operating system may be Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, although leaked benchmark scores indicate a possible Android 4.3 OS instead. The device should feature a 720p display along with 2GB of RAM. Apart from that, the smartphone may come with a 10 megapixel primary camera, a 2 megapixel front shooter and 16GB of internal storage. There is no mention of a microSD card slot, though. There was another leak recently, again by GSM insider, which indicated that the Moto X may come with a nano-SIM tray. This means that users who want to pick up the smartphone will have to opt for an entirely new SIM card. The nano-SIM card was earlier seen being featured on the iPhone 5. While the reasons for Motorola to opt for this adoption is unknown, Moto X aspirants may want to get their new SIM cards in advance. Google is planning to unveil the highly-anticipated smartphone at its scheduled August 1 event. The company began rolling out invites along with a teaser that read “Come experience the new Motorola.” And it is clearly a big property for the search giant, with the company going on record to say that it was planning to shell out a mammoth $500 million to market the new smartphone. Even Google head honcho Eric Schmidt got into the game by showing off the phone at a conference held some time back. Only the offical announcement can really show what all the company has packed into the Moto X, so till then, interested users need to wait. Unless another leak springs up (which is highly likely, looking at the track record).
