She has Zombieland, The Call, Haunter, and the upcoming Maggie all on her resume. You will also find a movie named Final Girl which filmed in 2012 and has been in post-production since March of 2013. It actually received an odd trailer that month, where director Tyler Shields showed the entire film in 1 minute. That was the last we had seen of it. That was until today. We now have a new, more traditional, trailer for this long gestating project and I have to say it has piqued my interest quite a bit. Synopsis: A psychological thriller about a beautiful teen girl new to town who is lured out to the woods by a group of senior boys to be the victim in their final initiation. » - Chris Connors See full article at FEARnet » Permalink | Report a problem Lotus sells Berrys Kidnap 15 May 2014 9:00 AM, PDT | ScreenDaily | See recent ScreenDaily news » Halle Berry will star in Luis Prieto’s thriller Kidnap and Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel’s Lotus Entertainment is shopping international rights in Cannes. The former will be on display in the upcoming Maggie where he plays father to a daughter infected with a zombie virus, and the latter has been evident in The Last Stand, Escape Plan, his appearances in The Expendables franchise, and upcoming sequels to past triumphs. His action films have been cartoonishly unrealistic and as interested in being “fun” as they’ve been in being exciting. His latest film though is a far more serious affair. Deadly violent, incredibly gory, and saturated with themes that echo both Schwarzenegger’s past as an action hero and the real life cost of fighting evil. Unfortunately, David Ayer‘s Sabotage also wants to be fun, and therein exists just one of its missteps. It occasionally spits out results that are almost patently wrong, but the more current someone’s career is, the better and more spot-on they are. Case in point: Abigail Breslin, whose IMDb page tells us that she is “Known For” films like Little Miss Sunshine, Zombieland, and Signs. Despite completely spacing that Breslin is the H2O-happy kiddo in Signs (a personal problem, surely), this is a fully agreeable assessment of the most popular and mainstream titles on her resume. And that would be fine if Breslin was doing those kind of films today – Little Ms. Sunshine? – but the former child star has recently started loading up her schedule with some very different fare. In short, it’s chockfull of horror titles, from the little-seen (Haunter) to the hotly anticipated (Maggie), establishing Breslin as an offbeat pick for the genre’s newest scream queen » - Kate Erbland See full article at FilmSchoolRejects » Permalink | Report a problem BAFTA Film Awards (Live): Chiwetel Ejiofor Nabs Leading Actor Prize for ’12 Years a Slave’ 16 February 2014 10:51 AM, PST | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news » London — The BAFTA film awards ceremony is unspooling at London’s Royal Opera House.
