News from Colorado Springs: U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Airman and Family Readiness Center activated its Emergency Family Assistance (EFACC)Control Center Thursday at Building 6248 in response to the Black Forest Fire. Families affected by the fire can contact the EFACC at 333-3444, 333-3445 or 800-379-1455. The EFACC, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., provides communication and information in a centralized location through both personal contact and telephone information services. The center has representatives from the base mental health office, chaplains, the base legal office, finance and Airman and family services, as well as military family life consultants.
