News from our Angel Angel’s leg is healing very well, she is starting to put weight on it and she gets to spend more and more time out of her crate! Besides letting Angel’s leg heal, our next goal is to have her put on weight and build up her immune system. When she was found she was nothing but skin and bones. She was infested with ticks, fleas and worms which is part of the reason why she wasn’t able to maintain a healthy bodyweight. In the conditions she lived in before, her body wasn’t able to build up a healthy immune system and her resistance to parasites and infections has been very low. With the steady help and support of our vet – Angel keeps being on the regular patient list in his clinic! –we are nurturing her back to health and keep fighting those parasites which are still clinging onto her system. These little things can be SO persistent!! But our Angel keeps being a trooper! She is just such a happy and positive dog and she keeps showing us how grateful she is for everything we do for her! We are still working on paying off the large vet bill for her surgery and are still in great need of financial support.
