News from our bean hunter Day three belonged to our DEEP PURPLE PROJECT Some of you have tasted this coffee last years experiment batch, well this is updated version , which is EXCLUSIVE Ona/Project origin lot. Uncle Roni employs only his best 20 pickers to pick pick this coffee, pickers are paid 25% more to pick depp purple than for washed process, but they have to pick PURPLE COLOUR ONLY. Also they can not mix veriatals so we have dedicated area in block 10 and 11 of Hawain red Caturra veriatal at 1600 m trees are appox 10 years old. These African beds have been made few months a go especially for this project, so once coffee is picked it is placed on African beds thick appox 30 cm for 72 hours to incurage fruity flavours. Then spread thin for remaining 3 weeks. We placed this beds on really windy area at 1300 m, which helps to give us cleaner cup. To me this is really special to be able to choose exactly what veriatal , how coffee to be picked where and how to be processed , as a coffee hunter life does not get any better . THANK YOU THALANAR.
