News in Canada – not just the CBC – is based on the BBC model of ACCURACY, FAIRNESS, AND IMPARTIALITY Then why do I so often hear other Canadians lament about the state of media? It is getting harder and harder to find sources that protect fairness and impartiality. And when you hear only one side of a story, you live in a narrow, dangerous, fantasy world, ignoring the multitude of different views and voices out there. This is why the public conversation about Ukraine is narrow, shallow, fragmented, and driven by fear. And I speak as one who loves Canada, to the leaders of Canada: let’s help all of Ukraine end this war. Let’s help Eastern Ukrainians regain their trust in their nation. And let’s start by opening our hearts and minds and becoming truly informed about the events. Canadians have the right to know the truth.
