News is that Shaikh Mohammed Al-Arifi has been detained again in Saudi. Its most probably because of a comment he tweeted on his observations of some of the faults found in the Hajj administration. How much I wish he and all Arab scholars would wake up and realize that no goodness will come from appeasing these tyrannical rulers. As much as they tried to please them, the end result is the same for these speakers once they go against their rulers wishes - thrown in jail. Why cant they realize that we no longer need fiery khutab or loud screams or trendy tv shows that are politically correct but we need learned men to speak the truth regardless of who it pleases or displeases. If we shy from speaking up, well continue to be humiliated by the same people we think were getting safety with. Wallahi fear is not the obstacle we face today, its finding that sincerity in our hearts to be brave like our heroes before us. May Allah hasten the release of Shaikh Al-Arifi and guide us to seeing the truth and live it.
