“News of this reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.” Acts 11:22-24 I just think these are three of the coolest verses in the Bible! I mean, to have the Holy Spirit lead Luke (the human author of the Book of Acts) to write these words about Barnabas is very inspiring to me. Barnabas was an encourager, and through his life, “a great number of people were brought to the Lord.” The verses got me thinking about how the Holy Spirit would describe me. What would He say? What would He say about you? I hope to see you this Sunday, August 11 as we wrap up our Summer Series: The Me I want to Be – Becoming God’s Best Version of You. My prayer is this last Sunday we will be able to grasp this exciting concept and apply it daily so that we all live our lives with meaning, joy, and peace.
