News on Dad on his travels to see America.March 2014.Dad is now in Florida and met with the son of his co-pilot from WW2.Dad as some of you know was a tailgunner on the B-17 The Five Grand.5 Grand it seems was a bit of star in the European Conflict with the Nazis being that she was the 5000th B-17 ever built.Shes been in films ,magazines, and served the good ole USA through 35 bombing missions with my Pop and Mr Harry Weise aboard her.Though hit plenty of times by shrapnel the opposition couldnt take them out of the war and Im glad they didnt.....Anyway whats happening is there is a gentleman in England making a movie or short film,Whatever! about our Airmen and the incredible losses America had in helping our English comrades win this thing.They took 4 hours of film,interview information etc.to be sent to England.You cant imagine how proud Gary Weise and I are of our fathers and the way in which they performed in some terrifying situations.God Bless all our boys from then and now. .
