Newton Ramblers abbot Buckfastleigh... Thankfully our club can move forward after unnecessary public outbursts. Our aim is to progress the club and players we have, however we should be honoured that people outside of Buckfastleigh want to play for the Ramblers, it shows what a fantastic club you have all build from the beginning, as always clubs have high points, and sadly low, during the highs often people jump on the wagon, we cant single out players/coaches/sponsors, who want to be a part of the future, we have fantastic base of youth, OAPs and few in the middle, the socail side of the club is 2nd to none, a key factor for me wanting to be a Rambler, the other factor that you should all see is the amount of talent within yourselfs, everyone will play rugby this season, no one will be given the cold shoulder treatment, we have 33 games, thats a lot of rugby for a small squad. The training and effort so far has been excellent, taking on board changes, new direction, and most of all feeling like you have learnt something new, we as coaches are still learning, and our aim is to pass on what we have learnt over the years, we dont ask for anything more than 100%, if after that we find ourselves still playing Devon 2 rugby, so be it, we can all sit round a table at end of season and say, hey, lets have another crack next season Lastly, can we sort a social night out sometime soon, starting at club, maybe hitting few bars/clubs in Buckfastleigh ( lol ) it would be nice to bring us all together in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy a cider or 10!!! #Ramblers
