Next month Ill be one year sober, but I dont look down at those who drink. I wouldnt even call drinking a sin. I liked drinking a lot actually, but I didnt like the results. Id never encourage anyone to drink, but I wouldnt condemn anyone who does either. If somethings making your life worse, you should probably consider leaving it behind. If it makes you a lousy representative of God, you should probably leave it behind. If you have a hard time stopping for any period of time; you should get help. Some religious people will get pissed that Im not condemning booze and or those who drink it. Theyre addicted to religion, so they emote. Its taught in certain denominations you know. ;) Im very thankful to God and those who helped me. Im grateful for my mom and dad who never condemned me, but prayed often. Im glad I was broken, experienced the pain, and because of it can relate to and love others more.
