Next question: Do you have experience working with different cultures and religions? My answer: The short answer is yes! But, I allow my clients to educate me about how culture, subculture, and/or religion (or the absence of religion) impacts them because I dont want to make assumptions. For me, it boils down to respect. Its not my job to impose my own values into session. But rather to help a client discover how her/his values align with and support her/his personal growth. And as a side note, diversity is one of my values! Its one of the main reasons I moved back to Sacramento. I love a rich tapestry of differences.
