Next to my wedding, that may have been the BEST party (of that noisy dark beer spiked cookie music kind) Ive ever hosted in my entire life. Totoo, every minute I was taking the chance to say thank you to those who came. Its been my practice, you know, to hold parties on my birthday- for the sole purpose of thanking people who helped me survive the recent years. (Thats a good guest-list guide right there, though I may have forgotten to message some people Id have wanted to see last night, argh.) Im grateful I was taught by the fates and the furies to have a keen sense of how very very short life is. Save for the marquee, I didnt take a single photo last night, not one. As you can imagine, that is rare for me. But I think thats the secret. Dont take a photo of your party, just party.
