Next up for us folks is our #Car #Track #Day here on Saturday August the 2nd. It is a great chance to bring that classic or road-going car to the circuit and get out on track and enjoy the speed. Designed to allow car owners the chance to experience the thrills of driving around one of the UK’s leading circuits, this is your opportunity to avail of the chance and book your place now. The benefit of a Car Track day on a circuit means that you can test yourself and your car in a safe and controlled environment well away from the public roads. There is a Safety Briefing in the morning, to ensure that you know the Flags that the Marshals will use, and the staff are more than happy at Lydden to assist you in any way, or with questions that you may have. With the ever-increasing number of vehicles on the roads as well as the legal implications of driving your vehicle to its full potential on the public highway there are few opportunities to fully explore the performance of your vehicle. Track days are the ideal way of learning more about your vehicle in a safe and controlled non-competitive environment. Lydden Hill offers a number of track days throughout the year, so please check lyddenhill.co.uk for updates and news on all our Track Days. Full safety and instructional briefings will be given before the Track day starts to ensure that all drivers are aware of any supplementary regulations that will be applied throughout the day. A full UK driving licence or full MSA/ACU race licence must be produced at signing on and a suitable crash helmet must be worn whilst on track. We can hire these to you for a nominal fee of £10. We also ask that full-length trousers and sleeves are worn whilst on track along with sensible driving shoes. Any car or motorcycle that complies with standard UK or EU road safety regulations may take part in a track day. Dedicated track day cars/motorcycles are permitted but these must be presented in an acceptable condition. All vehicles taking part in a track day must comply with the circuit noise regulations that can be checked on the day. If you are in any doubt as to the eligibility of your vehicle please contact us to discuss your concerns. For more information on how to book your car into our Track Day please call the office on 01304 830557
