Next up in our staffs 2014 charts will be owner Steves album choices, but today its Daves favourite songs of the year. Dave says: From a musical perspective 2014 started quite sluggishly for me, but slowly gathered pace and ended up revealing some incredible music. I heard at least one new (or new to me) artist or band I liked pretty much every week; this list (presented alphabetically) contains lots of names I had not encountered before this year, so its been a pleasure to make so many new musical acquaintances. The award of my favourite song of this year goes to Bent Knee, the Boston band that has almost swept the board for me in 2014. The song in question is their magnificent In God We Trust, a stunning performance of which you can view below.
