Next up is ”Denial”. Musically ”Denial” is a track inspired by the music of the Middle East, with a touch of Cuba. It is the deepest track of the album, and has both soft synths, trumpet, Rhodes etc. “Denial” is a track about the morning when you wake up, after you’ve been sleeping with a beautiful stranger, and instead of feeling happy, you suddenly regret your choices. You try to deny what happened has happened. You grab your stuff and run out the door. Cause what you thought could help you forget, just made you realise that you are not quite out of the old love yet. When producing this track, we went back to some of the good old habits, from the time we only produced Deep House. A pad is playing during the whole track, the drums are soft and groovy, a wide shaker is driving the groove forward, and then the Rhodes and the lead is very melodic. Leman plays the trumpet, and as a little add on we can tell you that the trumpet is going into our liveset from now on! Also we use the same background noises we told you about yesterday, recorded on a sailing trip 2013. Synths: Blofeld, Juno 106, Juno D, Alesis QS8 (Rhodes).
