Next up the Sportive riders. Four WLC members made the ballot to Ride London 100 which was shortened to 84 miles due to Hurricane Bertha. The organisers deemed the descents too dangerous and cut 2 hills from the course. Standing water and debris on the road not to mention very windy and wet weather made for challenging riding conditions. Chapeau lads Meanwhile in Peebles twenty four riders took on the Tour O the Borders Sportive. The event was on closed roads for the first time and was very well organised and they even fixed the weather on this occasion, with most of us getting round in relative dry.
