Next up wa Bakersfield to Vegas, it was a long trip with dead straight roads for miles at times and the constant traffic was astounding, we think we passed well over 1200 semis today from both directions. It was a real eye opener to see truck after truck for 14 hours. At times there would be 6-8 trucks running together which was good to see. We made it to a town I cant remember the name of but anyone who has played GTA would know of the iconic Wind Turbines that cover the hills just outside the city, the shots arent great as we couldnt find a good place to stop that gave us a vantage point. Cindy took a couple of driving shots of the ranges once we passed Mojave and were in the desert fully. Fairly barren apart from low scrub and a few cacti. Finally we hit Vegas and checked in. The room we got is on the very top floor (36th) and has a view down the main strip, its an amazing view. We then had a buffet dinner and then retired as we are both knackered from the drive. Expect a lot of photos tomorrow as there is so much to see and do here. Until then.
