Next week Fort Belvoir ACS will be going through Accreditation. Accreditation happens every 3 years to make sure we are doing everything we can and are supposed to be doing to support our military Families. We will be doing everything we can to ensure its business as usual while Accreditation is being conducted. Have a great weekend! Definition of accreditation: a. Accreditation is a Department of the Army (DA) process for recognizing ACS centers as having a high level of performance, integrity, and quality. It ensures that Soldiers, civilians, and Families receive consistent levels of quality support regardless of assignment, thus contributing to well-being and mission readiness. b. The accreditation process provides professional evaluation of the quality of ACS. c. The accreditation evaluation is based on Installation Management Agency (IMA) Region accreditation teams applying DA standards. The U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center (USACFSC) evaluates accreditation team recommendations and makes decision about compliance.
