Next week, Rev. Dempster will call in to say hello to the pupils and we have tentatively arranged an ‘Big Sing Along’ for Tuesday the 17th of December at 6:30pm. We hope that this gives more parents the opportunity to attend. VISITING SPECIALISTS This term we have had Mrs Edgar for Kodaly Music, Miss Hamilton for P.E. and Mrs Guthrie for drama/social games. We are also very grateful to Mrs Gibbons for also running the after school rugby club on Mondays. P.E. PLANS We will be continuing with the Curling programme and Festival at The Curl with our P6 pupils and James Sadio will be in shortly to build up the pupils’ rugby skills, through Active Schools. We have also had the offer of further involvement for the pupils interested in Netball through the support of Lisa Singleton-more info to follow. THANK YOU Thank you to Mrs Henderson for all her hard work with the Facebook page-it is so impressive and I know what a lot of work goes into keeping it up-to-date. LATHALLAN We’re looking forward to the Games today and hope that the pupils participating have a lovely time. The new Sports Tops are ready for the team to wear, thanks to FoJS. DISCO We will be having a disco on Friday the 1st of November from 6:30pm-8:30pm. All pupils from P1-7 are invited to attend. Children may dress up as there will be a few prizes! We will also run a small tuck shop with drinks and snacks. Entry will be £1 and cover the disco cost, tuck shop prices will cover the costs of the stock-£1 each should be enough to buy a snack and a drink. CYCLE TRAINING Any parents who are still interested in training to deliver cycle training, please contact the school office. There will be an opportunity shortly at Catterline or Kinneff School or Mr Harper, our regular trainer from the ‘Benholm Bikes’ can offer training as well. He is currently working through levels 1 and 2 with our older pupils.
