Next year a team of veterans suffering from PTSD with VIA will - TopicsExpress

Next year a team of veterans suffering from PTSD with VIA will walk from Ypres in Belgium to Calais then to Dover (not walking) then up to the AvN where we hope to be designated charity. On the Sunday after the match we will then set off to walk around the coastline of the UK, a journey of over 4,000 miles over 3 months. This is being done to coincide with the centenary of WW1 and our aim is to raise £1 for every British and Commonwealth Troops who were either killed or injured in the war. This is a total of 3 million, a huge task for a small charity such as VIA. The reason for us doing this is that we are taking direct action or in fact Veterans In Action as this is the only way we will get the funds to help more veterans exactly as has been seen on Panorama and from all conflcts before. We are fed up waiting for the so called funds from the government and it it falls in line with the work VIA does anyway. We will be fundraising in every city, town and village we pass through and will need help throughout the country so if anyone would like to take action and help us help mre veterans then get involved.
