Next year, specifically May 29, Ill be launching an unorthodox media outlet (online). Its intended to be a premier news-aggregator designed to adopt features of development journalism in tracking the progress of the country, by documenting and analysing policies proposed, budgets allocated and tracking the progress of supposed projects by local, state and national government, publicizing phases of completion or abandonment, government by government, ministry by ministry, agency by agency, state by state, and leader by leader. The aim, however, is a marriage of development and citizen journalism, which may make me more of a mediator in our political evolution than a critic of the system. This way, Ill be stepping on so many toes, even burning several bridges. What will keep us going has to be your patronage and criticisms of our style. For this project, weve succeeded in acquiring the name and a domain name via a Backorder service, taking over from an unserious owner after a long, tough battle that only Nasir Yammama and Yax Mokwa are aware us! How I can sustain the energy to combine this project with my engagements and studies is a dilemma I havent even bothered to consider. But this project, in my expectation, is being designed as a public property, an official project of Nigerians home and abroad!
