Niagara Falls Industrial History Built in 1895, the Edward Dean - TopicsExpress

Niagara Falls Industrial History Built in 1895, the Edward Dean Adams Power Plant sits along a section of Buffalo Avenue, once nicknamed Chemical Row, because of the chemical companies that called it home because of the close proximity to cheap and high voltage power that Niagara Falls created. This power plant, named after a financial investor, who was good friends with J.P. Morgan, another investor in the power project, was the first Hydro-powered A/C transmitting power plant in the world. It was with the knowledge and patents of Nikola Teslas A/C generators that electricity was sent about 18 miles south to the plants first customer, an electric street trolley company that ran in Buffalo, NY. niagarapedicab/niagarafallstours
