Nican App The Smartphone App is the first Australian geospatial smartphone App to link people with disabilities to a comprehensive database of thousands of access friendly sport, arts and recreation opportunities. Design features include a map as a key design feature with simple searching or filtering using keyword and categories. It gives users the ability to favourite their choices and also provides a single ‘call” and “take me there” button, so people can call the place or go there at the touch of a button. It uses good colour contrasts and screen icons to provide better access to people with low vision. The App was a result of many months intensive work and development and was funded by the ACT Government and developed in partnership with users and people with disabilities. daru.org.au/resource/nican-app
