Nicaragua Cable and Internet guy comes to install today and wants to drill a hole through the window frame. I ask why he believes this is necessary and he says that he cant use the same cable that the television uses. I ask him if he can use the no utilized outlet in the spare bedroom and he says no. I ask him where the cable being drilled through the window come from and he painstakingly describes a splitter attached to the pole. I ask him how I have 3 outlets. He explains that it uses the same type of splitter, but he doesnt know where it is. I ask why, if it is the same type of splitter, why he cant use an existing outlet and why he wants to run a cable across the face of the house and drill a hole in the aluminum frame of the window. He refuses to complete the install and leaves. The cable sales guy informs me that the payment is significantly more if he runs a new line into the house than if he connects the modem to an existing jack. So why not just drill a hole through the window on the front of the house. Crazy.
