Nice! We had the biggest entry today at 22! Wow, there certainly was a great assortment of destinations to paddle. From provincial/state parks, to crown land, wildlife reserves, rivers, and even a swamp. It was all there! Thank you all for submitting your entries, as some were quite detailed and enticing, including pictures! Just so you all have an idea where all these 22 paddlers are headed, here they all are below. No particular order, and those that were duplicated, they were removed. (Many people listed several areas they are going to visit, rather than just one.) Provincial Parts: Quetico, Wabakimi, Temagami, Kawarthas, Algonquin, Massassauga, Woodland Caribou Rivers: Grand, Mississagi, Big East Wildlife Preserve: La Verendrye State Parks: Boundary Waters, George Washington, Adirondacks Conservation Area: Mellon Swamps: Minesing Swamp Bay: Georgian Crown Land: Kakagi Lake, North of Kingston Isnt that an amazing selection of destinations? And to think, this is just 22 canoeists were taking about here. There are over 500 others that follow my page and they havent even told us where they are going. I have to say, Im pretty impressed! Now for the juicy part. So, the first bonus ballots are to those who picked areas in Ontario I havent tripped in. There was actually only a few - Wabakimi, Kakagi Lake and the Grand River. So Sid, Gail, and Bryce, you have won yourself extras ballots. Congrats! Next, 3 areas outside of Ontario. Now, there was in fact three total areas, but I only picked 2. Adirondacks and Boundary Waters, as they provided actual canoeing tripping destination where I would be interested in going. So for this, there are multiple winners. Susan and Sharon for Boundary Waters, and Myriam and Liz for Adirondacks. Congrats to all the ladies here! Lastly, 6 bonus ballots to those that are probably too busy to play today, but I wanted to provide bonus ballots to. So Anita was tasked with picking 6 randomn numbers. Here are the lucky 6. Jan CP, (Youre indecision paid off!), Marie-France L, Grant B, David S, Rob N, and Garth G. So congratulations to all of the winners! Thank you again for participating. It was A LOT of fun, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I have to say, I learned a lot more about many of you through these exchanges and feel more than ever, a closer kinship to all of you as fellow paddlers. Thank you all for generously sharing so much with me. So this is it! The game is practically over. New entries will still be accepted until midnight, but Im pretty sure, most of you will be overdosing on Egg Nog and cookies. (Surprisingly enough, I still got 2 new entries today!) So tomorrow morning, at some point, I will be video-taped drawing for the 3 prizes. If all goes as planned, I will post it around noon, and 3 lucky people can celebrate with another gift this Christmas! See you all then!
