Nice & meaningful moment of the morning! Was getting into my car early this morning & saw a blue jay (my mom used to say she enjoyed watching a blue jay & cardinal fly from my neighbors front yard tree to our back yard trees), so as I had one foot in the car, I stepped back out to watch where the bird flew & sure enough, it was up the drive way into my yard. Got into the car, turned the ignition & what song comes on? Boz Skaggs: Low Down! My mama LOVED her some Boz. My mom bought tix for Papou, Frank & me to see Boz Skaggs in concert, last July---just a few nights before her passing. Shockingly, she was unable to attend, due to her health, but insisted Frank & I still go; (actually she was still trying to get the energy up to come to the concert, after it had already started. She would not willingly give into her illness) I got us matching Boz tees, at the concert. My mom unexpectedly passed 2 days later & her tee shirt, in the casket with her; Boz has always been & will always be a link to my moms passion for music. I made today a great day, in large part, due that special moment, early this a.m. & listened to an awesome playlist (of Boz, Van, Sinatra, Barry White ...) created for us by our dear friend SRL! #alwaysbymyside
