Nice video of days gone by, with a few of my old friends. As per usual, the video is shot during those nicer days, not days the wind was howling and horizontal rain.....maybe I am putting on my rose colored glasses, but it was fun and I have a lot of nice memories. That was a big shark, but where are the Wolf Eels, water hauls with nothing but red jellies, Octopi that can cling on like crazy or slip behind boxes you couldnt imagine a snake slithering into (truly amazing), boat mates sea sick, and hung over skiff drivers being surly on nasty days, nets full of limbs and logs ( I still have quivers from one days fishing of feeling like I was a logger since no fish, but plenty of wood), or skippers trying to go thru Canoe Narrows, Wrangel Narrows, et all at wrong tide times and having to turn around in the middle of them (scary as all hell), whales going thru the net like humans thru spiderwebs (they might put you at the Jesus dock) and hoping you can get it sewn up for the next day, rest of the day, or even the next opener. Yes, it was fun, even without the rose colored glasses on.....RIGHT Jon Ellis, Eileen Murphy, Carin Chase, Mark Prewett, Mark Staley, Kevin Patrick, Dawn Zurly Rachel, Jon Franklin, Erika Acuna, Chris Steckler I had fun up there with you folks---Plus the scenery and wildlife was totally AWESOME and made all things better--------Boatloads to all of ya still throwing out your rag well Mark Prewitt, looks like you became a South East Alaska Purse Seine fisher observer somehow, so left you in the mix. I did this in my 40s for 8 years, and as you see, most are in their 20s.....and the older ones were skippers
