Nicholas - Rainbow Bridge It is with a very sad and heavy heart that I let you know Nicholas crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We thank everyone who was sending him love and prayers. Nicholas is now running free of pain at the Rainbow Bridge and we are all better for having known this sweet guy. Thank you Diane for loving and spoiling him and taking care of him through his last days...... This is from his foster mom: I wanted to let you all know that my daughter and I were with Nicholas as he crossed over the rainbow bridge. Nicholas could no longer get up and I was feeding him water and food through a syringe. He fought a great fight and he had a wonderful Christmas of love. With tears. Diane Original posting: Just wanted to let everyone know that Nicholas could use some prayers. We got Nicholas on December 11, 2014 from the Fort Bend Animal Shelter. He was at the vet being treated for a cough. He was on antibiotics. Nicholas went to his foster home on December 20th and although he had a slight cough, he seemed okay. Today however didnt look good and would not eat. Also he was shivering. He has a fever, pneumonia and a bacterial/gastro infection. Also the shivering is not shivering but tremors. Eating is difficult since he has these tremors and it affects his jaw. The vet believes he is a distemper survivor and that he is now showing the neurological signs of distemper. We are treating all of his ailments in hopes that he will pull through. He may always have tremors or it might progress further into seizures.......
