Nicholas Isgro, Watervilles 53rd Mayor, was sworn-in tonight at the inaugural ceremony in the Waterville Opera House. Also sworn in were new City Councilors Nathaniel White and Sydney Mayhew and re-elected Councilor Dana Bushee, as well as School Board Members Elizabeth Bickford, Maryanne Bernier and Susan Reisert. Many thanks to the Waterville High School Jazz Band and their director, Sue Barre, and also Sound Check - the WHS Select Chorus - under the direction of Ciera Hargrove, for providing absolutely wonderful music for the inaugural program. Wed also like to thank Pastor Alan Imes for providing the invocation; City Clerk Patti Dubois for administering the oaths of office; Carl Paradis for leading the Pledge of Allegiance; former Mayor Karen Heck for her heartfelt remarks; and last, but certainly not least, Dana Bushee for doing a fabulous job as the Madam of Ceremonies. We certainly cannot call it a night without thanking all the people behind-the-scenes including the always helpful Waterville Opera House folks, City Hall custodians and City staff that helped with the all the details to make this event a success. Thank you to each and every one of you!!
